HDTV. The Ultimate Viewing Experience

HDTV otherwise known as the plasma television has been around for awhile, but only recently have they come into their own. Today they are more popular than ever. One of the main reasons for the increase in popularity is that they're not as expensive as they used to be, because competition in manufacturing of the product has grown exponentially.

Another reason that HDTV has increased in popularity is because of better technology. When the plasma television first came out its lifespan was only around 30,000 to 40,000 hours -- and since then it has dramatically increased as quality of the HDTV delivers on a more consistent basis.

As well, the life of the newer plasma television has also increased with the introduction of a multitude of new technologies that have been released. They've all help to increase not only the lifespan of plasma television, but the quality of it as well.

Unlike the standard television, plasma television screens are real space savers with their thin models that can be hung on the walls, come with special stands, and they actually don't take up too much room. By contrast, when you turn your HDTV you on, it actually dominates the room, because the color is so excellent and so clear.

Most people will stop what they're doing in order to watch it. The difference between LCD and plasma is that the television has 160° that you can look at it. So, it isn't a problem if you're viewing it from several different locations.

The newer HDTV's come equipped with high quality speakers that are attached to both sides of the screen. They give you stereo sound, and if you want to make the investment for a home theater system, it's just like you're in the movies. If you don't make the home theater investment, the speakers that come with the television are more than enough for casual viewers.

HDTV provides higher resolution than standard monitors, and a plasma screen has literally millions of gas filled cells, which act as a single image pixel trapped between two pieces of glass. The most expensive plasma television or HD television displays over 16 million different colors.

Inside the plasma television, there are transistor electrodes, but instead of operating as a result of a laser hitting every single pixel like it does on standard televisions, in the HD television it is built with single transistor electrodes for each pixel. That's one of the main reasons that plasma HD television can be so small.

You don't need a massive space in the back of the television in order to accommodate the electrode gun. The picture you see on HDTV is the result of each pixel varying in intensity to produce a different color. And when that happens, every pixel in the picture consists of millions of pixels being produced.

If you're interested in the technology behind HD television, or you are just looking for high quality television to replace your old box, plasma television or HDTV is definitely the way to go.
